“Adra RECEIVABLES has freed up resources for other jobs that make a difference,” says Credit Manager Allan Kundby Pedersen, Saint-Gobain Distribution Denmark A/S (SGDD).

“We use Adra RECEIVABLES for all sorts of incoming payments”

“Optimera uses Adra RECEIVABLES for all sorts of incoming payments made electronically. Apart from ordinary bank payments, there can also be partial payments, payments on account, etc. We do not receive payments from abroad, as they go to our subsidiaries, but payments from the Faeroes and Greenland are also handled by Adra RECEIVABLES.”

“80-85% of payments made to Optimera are automatically reconciled”

“As soon as we arrive in the mornings we download payment files and run RECEIVABLES. That still allows us to handle dropouts early in the morning, even though they only account for about 15‑20% of the total. Adra RECEIVABLES locates the customers and invoices for 80-85% of payments, and then automatically updates the debtor ledger and finance accounts!”

“Lump payments are also an everyday occurrence …”

“We have a number of payments in which a head office pays on behalf of several shops in one go. No problem for RECEIVABLES. On the other hand, a single payment for several invoices can be a bit tricky. In such cases, we have to ask for a specification, which, if it’s supplied in a spreadsheet, can be entered into RECEIVABLES. As yet, we have not used this option, but we will before long,” says Pedersen, before continuing:

“Optimera alone has been able to switch half the working hours of one employee to value-creating work”

“With RECEIVABLES we are always up-to-date, and our bookkeeping has become more accurate and rational. But the most important thing is that we have freed up a lot of man hours, which can be used on the things that make a difference, and this mean happier employees.”

“It’s far more satisfying to talk to customers and feel that you are making a difference, than to spend days finding differences in payment reconciliations.”

“Adra RECEIVABLES supports our debtor policy, and is an excellent management tool”

“The updated overview we get every single morning gives us a number of benefits which make it easier to fulfill our debtor policy. We can speed up our reminder process, we do not risk chasing up customers who have paid, and at the end of the day we reduce losses on customers. What’s more, RECEIVABLES gives me qualified data so that I can make quick decisions on a specific customer and deliveries pending to that customer,” concludes Pedersen.
