For many years, Santander Consumer Bank used an in-house developed reconciliation system based on Excel to keep control of all reconciliations. Maintaining the system, especially fixing problems related to broken links was extremely time consuming.

Santander was recommended BALANCER by its Swedish branch who started using the balance sheet reconciliation software, spring 2014.

Now, they look forward to start using a system that is easy to maintain, ensures traceability for audit, and provides better status overview of all accounts during the month-end close. In addition, they can gather all documentation in one place that cannot be modified once the period is closed.
